"The ending was half-assed because of the leak. They changed it at the last minute so they could have more time to prepare the real ending via DLC. "
"It’s called The Truth and it’s being released in April or May. You WILL be able to continue the story if you picked any of the endings. Your decision during that sequence will have a big effect on your ending of The Truth. The Truth adds two new sets of enemies, new classes, and multiplayer maps including “Firebase Hive”, which is a small area of the last remaining collector ship included in the DLC, which, by the way you should definitely bring Javik the Prothean along if you have him."

How? How is there any closure? NOTHING you do for all three games makes ANY difference in the ending. I could go back and make the exact opposite choices I did, and I will still get the same three horrible end-game choices. BioWare said your choices would matter; that you’re Shepard would be a unique experience. Instead, everyone gets the same three doors that offer no closure.
inb4 fans discover BioWare was indoctrinated into delivering the best troll of all time.
There is also the one where Catalyst-brat completely negates Sovereign’s need to conquer the Citadel in ME1 since he could have easily activated the mass relay to let the Reapers in.
I said it on the BioWare forums, and I’ll say it here – why isn’t it an option to the the God Child to eff off, get on the horn with Adm Hackett and tell him to concentrate the fleet’s efforts on the Citadel? God Child is the reaper master, so destroy him. It’s a death for Shepard I’d be damn proud of.
Why was Joker and the Normandy running away from the Crucible's energy burst? Weren't they expecting the energy burst to be beneficial? In most 'good' scenarios, inhabitants of Earth were unharmed.
Ok so first off “synthesis” essentially galactic genetic manipulation without thinking about if people would want there freedom removed and synthetic components forced into there body? not paragon at all. essentially you become a reaper in another form so yeah that’s a renegade regardless if you save life the relays still destroy everything so not only is it not neutral and a renegade option its also a mass genocide and temporarily remove the reaper threat as there is always a possibility they can come back.
"BioWare did a real-time player indoctrination, they convice US (like Shepard) the last part of the game is like a "mirror dimension" every choice of "renegade" it's the correct, if you dont click while TIM is pointing at Anderson, he will die, if you dont click while TIM is poiting at you, you'll die too, renegade options during this final escenes are the "good" ones, YOU are fighting agaist indoctrination and by choosing the renegade options you are winning it." ~Agugudada1
Harbinger
Harbinger played a major key-role in Mass Effect 2 and Arrival. The Reaper develops a personal vendetta against Shepard after not only Sovereign's failed attempt to manually activate the Dark Space Relay (Citadel), but also having the Collectors (its servants) destroyed at the conclusion of the game. Harbinger will repeatedly talk with and mock Shepard at every chance it can get.
Harbinger also displays an unusually possessiveness towards the Commander. The Reaper makes it VERY clear that it wishes to possess Shepard, going as far as to try and procure Shepard's body after the Collector ship attacked and destroyed the Normandy, only to be thwarted by Liara T'soni and Cerebrus (Mass Effect: Redemption). Never at any point has Harbinger attempted to kill Shepard out-right when there's been opportunity to, but painstakingly orders that the Commander be captured alive at any costs.
Indoctrination
Codex Entry on Indoctrination
Reaper "indoctrination" is an insidious means of corrupting organic minds, "reprogramming" the brain through physical and psychological conditioning using electromagnetic fields, infrasonic and ultrasonic noise, and other subliminal methods. The Reaper's resulting control over the limbic system leaves the victim highly susceptible to its suggestions.
Organics undergoing indoctrination may complain of headaches and buzzing or ringing in their ears. As time passes, they have feelings of "being watched" and hallucinations of "ghostly" presences. Ultimately, the Reaper gains the ability to use the victim's body to amplify its signals, manifesting as "alien" voices in the mind.
Indoctrination can create perfect deep cover agents. A Reaper's "suggestions" can manipulate victims into betraying friends, trusting enemies, or viewing the Reaper itself with superstitious awe. Should a Reaper subvert a well-placed political or military leader, the resulting chaos can bring down nations.
Long-term physical effects of the manipulation are unsustainable. Higher mental functioning decays, ultimately leaving the victim a gibbering animal. Rapid indoctrination is possible, but causes this decay in days or weeks. Slow, patient indoctrination allows the thrall to last for months or years.
- When Illusive Man forces Shepard to shoot Anderson, Anderson is clearly stuck in the lower right side of his torso, yet does not bleed and only reacts mildly to the wound. However, Shepard is suddenly bearing the exact same would and bleeding after Illusive Man is defeated.
- The definition for Catalyst: One that precipitates a process or event, especially without being involved in or changed by the consequences
- The definition for Crucible: A severe test, as of patience or belief; a trial. See Synonyms at trial.
Is this actually some giant PR/Marketing stunt to illustrate to all of us just how dire Shepards mental fight against the Reapers was? They were assuming control of him, and he had inner conflicts that they
were preying upon, to try and trn him to their side. Is this an attempt by Bioware to try and get their customers to experience a modicum of what was going on inside Shep's head during the final scenes? They said that they wanted to take movement/gameplay control away, to simulate Reaper control... but they couldn't because they
found it too difficult/problematic to properly implement.
Is this what they came up with instead? To simulate that Reaper control by putting us all through such a traumatic experience? To make us question the very notion that Bioware loves it's fan base and customers? That if we hold our line, and steel ourselves against the worst-possible-case scenario, that we will, like Shepard, be rewarded with victory over that which causes us doubt?
Would Bioware even dare to do something like this? That's treading on some incredibly thin ice... and if everything isn't handled in exactly the right way, along every step of the way, things are going to come crashing down on them... and they will have absolutely destroyed the reputation that they've spent so very long building up. It's an incredibly dangerous ploy/tactic... but if they could pull it off, they would forever be remembered in gaming, and media history. Their mark would be made, and they would have pushed the interactive-experience bar
into the stratosphere.
The production posts seemed to tell us all that there's no more to the game -that what we see if what we get... yet the cryptic Tweets still continue... are they just buying more time, until the Asia market has had time to finish the game, and formulate their own ideas? Are they legally bound by some NDA to not reveal anything until a set time has elapsed from the most recent market's release date?
Does it pain them to see the state that their fan-base is in? And does it pain them more to not be allowed to say anything about it? Is some grand-psycho-social-interactive-Shepard's Struggle event too risky a PR move?
რიპერები არ ანადგურებენ ადამიანების ყველა ცივილიზაციას.
wrong. რიპერები ანადგურებდნენ ყველა ცივილიზაციას, ტოვებდნენ განუვითარებელ ორგანიკებს, რომლებსაც ცივილიზაცია არ გააჩნდათ, if you know what civilization mean.
Catalyst: No. We harvest advanced civilizations, leaving the younger ones alone. Just as we left your people alive the last time we were here.
It's argued that he makes the red option seem unpalatable, and the green and blue options seem attractive. It is sometimes argued that the red option doesn't even destroy all synthetics, or even Shepard's synthetic parts, it just destroys the Reapers. It certainly doesn't seem to always destroy Shepard, if you interpret the "gasp" scene as people have been interpreting it.
GHOST IS COOL THAT HE EVEN DOESNT CARE ABOUT WHAT IS OFFICIALLY SAID BY THE WRITERS. oh maaan, quad leg palm
THERE. ARE . NO . PLOTHOLES.

crowbarrx We can't saaaaay!
rogueangel0 The game has been out for a week. Don't you think you should hold off on giving up hope of ever seeing the ME universe again?
user: I am SO curious as to how aware you are of how much the majority of us is praying that you are holding something back lol >_<
respond of staff: @dancoys It is impossible not to be aware.
I kinda feel lost after that ending...not what I expected and left me feeling everything done was for nothing.
@dacajunrtard We know it's a lot to take in! But hang in there. Your decisions matter.

The backlash against the ending is even getting big enough to generate a backlash of its own: A newly formed "Keep Mass Effect!" Facebook group popped up over the weekend "to show Bioware that these petitioners and lawsuit harbingers are, in fact, a minority to all those who love the Mass Effect series and how it ended." The group is off to a bit of a slow start, though, with only 27 members as of this writing.
Always remember Marauder shields, he died trying to stop us from watching the ending, he is the true hero of mass effect
